Essential Scentwork Skills
Once your dog can search for a specific scent it’s time to put those essential foundation skills in place. These skills unlock the secrets to searching everything. Boosting concentration and teamwork, developing great partner techniques and staying safe no matter where you search is the exciting next step in your scentwork journey. If you’re following the courses in a logical order, I recommend taking this one after the Teach Your Dog to Sniff course.

This course is absolutely fantastic, working with free searches can appear daunting, this course supports all of your learning needs to transfer to the dog to open a conversation and support them. This is a fantastic course and I now feel more confident with free searches!

Baggage Searches
You don’t have to be in an airport to do baggage searches. Incorporating bags, cases and rucksacks into searches adds a surprising layer to your searches. Plus practising baggage lineups is a fun but effective way to hone your directed search skills. As a bonus I also show you how to search post, from letters and junk mail to Jiffy bags and small parcels. Recycling has never been so much fun!

Pam is very very clear in her explanations, makes the learning so much better.

Perfect for setting your own searches or designing searches for clients and classes.

I loved this course. I am learning scent work not only to do this with my dog, who loves it, but also because I am a dog trainer and I an starting to do some basic scent work sessions with a couple of clients who really wanted it. I am following the suggested path of which course to do when, and it’s absolutely brilliant. I was really worried how I am going to make this interesting to the client who’s dog is absolutely amazing at this. This course gave me a clear path to follow and inspired me on how to do this. I was worried that I should get as quickly as possible to the How to teach scent work course, to be able to start working on it with clients, but I am not anymore. This gave me a beautiful base to what I can do and then how I can progress.
